Our affiliation with Green Circle Salons empowers us to recover up to 95% of beauty waste, meeting the highest environmental and social responsibility standards. ABOUT NOOK SALON
Founded in Parma, Italy in 1983 by the Bollati Family, Davines Group started as a research laboratory, producing high-end hair care products for renowned cosmetic companies worldwide. After a decade of honing their expertise, they began creating our own brand of Davines hair care products exclusively for salons. Davines is proud to be a B Corp and have an international presence in more than 90 countries with a multicultural staff. In addition to the main office in Parma - the Davines Village - we have offices in New York, London, Paris, Mexico City, Deventer (Netherlands), and Hong Kong.
It is certified as a B Corporation, meaning that it meets the highest standards for transparency and social change. The company aims to offset all of its carbon emissions by the year 2030.
The brand focuses on sustainability, its products are produced with clean energy, making use of recyclable materials and natural ingredients whenever possible. The formulas in Davines products favour the use of ingredients of natural origin, are generated with renewable electric energy, and packaged in minimizing the environmental impact, inspired by the ideal of Sustainable Beauty as an inseparable unity between beauty and good.

ABOUT GREEN CIRCLE SALONS
Green Circle Salons empowers salons to recover up to 95% of their beauty waste. That includes previously unrecoverable materials and hard-to-recycle items like hair clippings, foils, excess hair color, aerosol cans, and color tubes. Green Circle Salons has been certified by B Corp and the Carbon Trust to acknowledge that it meets the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility and meets requirements for Zero Waste to Landfill.
At Nook Salon we collect:
Hair waste - Made into products to be used of Humanitarian efforts or composted with other organic waste
Excess hair colour - That will either be turned into clean energy or be separated into water and oil. The water is cleaned and returned back into the water system and the oil is blended into fuel.
Metals - Sorted by grade and type then melted into aluminum sheets or bars, called ingots. It is then used to make new products, like car parts and bicycles
Single use items - used in a waste-to-energy process to create clean renewable energy. The leftover ash can be used a s filler in asphalt.
Plastics - Which is sorted by type, cleaned, ground into small pieces then used to make new products (like shampoo products)
